INDY 4th ALL PARTNERS EVENT

INTRACOM DEFENSE (IDE) participated in the 4TH ALL PARTNERS EVENT of “INDY” Project which aims to develop a strategic roadmap for future “Energy Independent and Efficient Deployable Military Camps”, organized by Rheinmetall and TECES at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich in Germany between 3-5/9/24, bringing together over 120 military, research, and industrial project partners and representatives of Ministries of Defence.

The event was supported by the University of the Bundeswehr Munich and focused on ensuring the project’s successful completion. Participants collaborated effectively to resolve open issues and finalize plans for the project’s final phase.

During the event, working package and task leaders provided updates on the project’s progress. Presentations of a series of case studies on military camps, offered valuable insights into the difference between the design and reality of a military camp, and real-time demonstration of testing critical components offered valuable insights into the energy flow, ramp-up times, efficiency, and controllability of the microgrid. The final day was dedicated to workshops focused on specific work packages. In the closing session, the WP leaders mapped out actions for the remaining months, ensuring all partners are aligned to achieve the project’s objectives.

The Consortium of “INDY” consists of 20 partners from 11 EU Member States and associated countries. This EDF 2021 project is supported by the Hellenic Ministry of Defense and IDE consists the Greek industrial participation to the project.

IDE is looking forward to the best project’s implementation success, contributing with its fielded experience in Hybrid Power Systems to the study activities for “INDY” Energy Storage, microgrid and intelligent power distribution concepts.
