INTRACOM DEFENSE, as the Coordinator of the PROTEAS (“DePloyable Special OpeRations FOrces MulTiEnvironment CommAnd Post and C2 System (SOFCPC2)”) EDF 2022 Project, organized and hosted at the Armed Forces Officers’ Club in Athens, the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the project, held on May 28th and 29th, followed by the 3rd Stakeholder Workshop on May 30th.
PROTEAS project which is currently in its 7th month, aims to create the first deployable Special Operations Forces Command Post for Command and Control (SOFCPC2) System, to support EU-led SOF Small Joint Operations (SJO) in compliance with EU policies and the specific operational needs of the supporting EU-Member States (France, Italy, Belgium and Greece) and Norway.
During the first two days of the event, which were attended only by consortium partners, the focus was on reviewing and concluding on key aspects of specific Work Packages’ (WP) deliverables, corresponding to the technical outcomes of the “Study” phase, on a review of project management aspects and ‘open’ items. Furthermore, the 6th Executive Board meeting, as well as the 2nd General Assembly meeting of the project were carried out, focusing on the review of the Project’s progress, the officially authorized conclusion of the Study phase, and the launch of the Design phase, a common roadmap for which was agreed between the partners, after fruitful discussions.
The 3rd and final WP2 Stakeholder Workshop involved representatives from the Hellenic, French and Italian Ministries of Defense (MoDs), who accepted the WP2 deliverables as efficiently showcasing the Study phase outcomes and providing a solid baseline for the Design phase. Hence the System Requirements (SRR) and System Functional (SFR) reviews can now be considered as attained.
IDE’s technical team played a significant role in demonstrating the work performed and engaging in discussions with the MoDs. As the coordinator of the PROTEAS Project, IDE has the pleasure and honor to lead the way for its successful execution and eventual completion.
